Well, after having Lucky for almost 2 months, it was time to send him to the groomers. Admittedly, he was starting to look a bit shabby, and we wanted him to start looking more like a shih tzu from the dog shows. It was decided that we would have him short during the winters and long during the summers. I know that’s a bit reverse, but the winters here in Seattle tend to be wet. If we kept his coat long, we’d be doing a lot of dog washing sessions just to keep his coat clean.
Well, we took him to Pet Parlor in Lynnwood. I do have to say, they did a wonderful job with him. Since this is his first time to the groomers, we were not sure how he would be. As you all know, Lucky is such a shy dog when it comes to new people. He’s getting there, but still needs more work. And since this is our first time sending him there, we weren’t quite sure how we should trim him. We told the groomer our intentions, and she suggested a puppy cut. So, a puppy cut it was!
Well, when I picked him up later on that day, I received wonderful comments from the groomers. They commented on how sweet Lucky was. Shy Lucky being sweet? We can see it, but we weren’t sure if anyone else can. Apparently, his first visit to the groomers wasn’t as traumatic as we thought it would be.
And when he came out of the door, OH MY GOD! How cute he was. They really cut him short, but the best part was we can see his cute little face. I didn’t realize how big his eyes were! They’re huge! And his profile is just so cute. They did a wonderful job with him. Here are the pictures.
